Jakarta, IO – State-run railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) will offer thousands of trips with up to 2.72 million seats to cater to increased demand during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
KAI spokesperson Joni Martinus said there will be 3,888 regular long-distance trips with 2.2 million seats. For short-distance trains, there will be 1,296 trips with around 521,000 seats, per Bisnis, Fri (10/11).
The public can start buying the tickets from November 6 on all ticket purchasing channels. The commercial train fare during the Christmas period will be set according to floor ans ceiling price scheme. Meanwhile, subsidized tickets will follow the government policy.
“We remind customers to be careful in inputting dates, choosing routes, and entering personal data when making orders. Plan your trip as best as possible, including the estimated travel time to get to the station so you don’t miss the train,” said Joni.
