Jakarta, IO – Indonesia strongly condemns Israel for attacking the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza (RSI) since Sunday (19/11). Indonesia’s Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi stated that the attack was a clear violation of international humanitarian law.

“Indonesia condemns in the strongest possible terms the Israeli attack on the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza which killed a number of civilians,” said Retno, per CNN Indonesia, Tue (21/11).

Retno said all countries, especially those that have close relations with Israel, must use their influence and abilities to demand Israel to stop genocide in Palestine.

Since Sunday night, Israeli tanks have been pounding the RSI. So far, 12 people have been reportedly killed. The Israeli military besieged the hospital and warned everyone against trying to leave the facility or they would be shot.

Prior to attacking RSI, Israel had attacked Al Shifa — the largest hospital in Gaza — and a number of other medical facilities. Since the war between Israel and Hamas broke out on October 7, tens of thousands of people, mostly innocent civilians, have been reported killed and injured. (un)
