Jakarta, IO – Residents are looking to buy snacks to break the fast at Takjil Bendungan Hilir (Benhil) Market, Jakarta, (19/3). The market, which is set up every month of Ramadan, is still a favorite destination for residents. It is so popular that people have to queue and sometimes jostle to grab the mouthwatering food and drinks.
Based on observations, since 4pm WIB people have started gathering at the market. Aside from the local residents who live nearby, there are also office workers and residents of other parts of Jakarta.

Various types of food and drinks are sold at this market, ranging from fritters, traditional cakes, marrow porridge, and rice with dishes. The prices vary from Rp2,500 to Rp30,000. The market has existed since 1985 and is open every day during Ramadan from 2pm WIB until the time to break the fast (Maghrib).
