Jokowi also explained that the government, FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) would take a number of collaborative steps.
These include establishing stadium safety standards across Indonesia, formulating standard protocols and security procedures by the police based on FIFA standards, sitting with football clubs in Indonesia and supporter representatives to obtain suggestions and input as well as declaring joint commitments, managing match schedule that takes into account potential risks, and seeking expert guidance.

Jokowi also said that the FIFA president would visit Indonesia and hold discussions in October or November. (un)
