The event was also attended by Transport Minister Budi Karya Sumadi. PTDI is currently applying for flightworthiness test with the Directorate of Airworthiness & Aircraft Operations (DKPPU) to obtain license for commercial operation.

“Hopefully the flightworthiness test application process for the Vela Alpha can run smoothly,” said Budi. Vela Alpha looks like a large drone that can accomodate one pilot and four passengers in a VIP-class configuration and 6 passengers in economy-class configuration.
