12 witnesses from Kualanamu Airport staff questioned by police after woman’s death

Jakarta, IO – The death of a woman who fell from an elevator at Medan’s Kualanamu Airport a few days ago led to allegations of negligence on the part of staff and managers of the airport.

Deli Serdang Police are now quizzing 12 witnesses to reveal the cause of the incident.

“So far we have examined 12 witnesses from the airport, including security officers,” said Head of Deli Serdang Police criminal investigation bureau I Kadek H Cahyadi, reported Detik, Monday (1/5).

As for witnesses from the family, investigators will question them tomorrow.

“On Tuesday we plan to interview the family members because yesterday they were still grieving,” he said.

“Later, we will also question other witnesses to find out what really happened,” added Kadek.

Kadek said at the moment the police still cannot confirm the alleged negligence on the part of the airport personnel and managers as they are still waiting for the results of the investigation. (at)
