Police to investigate collapsed convenience store that kills 3

Jakarta, IO – South Kalimantan Police spokesperson Police Commissioner M Rifai confirmed that the force will investigate the case of collapsed Alfamart convenience store on Jalan Ahmad Yani Km 14, Gambut District, Monday (18/4).

“We will investigate the cause first, because at this time we are still focused on finding the remaining victims,” Rifai told Antara Monday night.

He said that the evacuation process has found three dead victims, while eight other alive.

“As of 11 pm Monday, central Indonesian time, officers are still searching for survivors. There are still five people left based on community reports. This is an estimate, hopefully not more,” said Rifai.
