Jakarta, IO – Indonesian women need to empower themselves, be financially independent, and be capable of standing tall alongside men, if indeed they intend to achieve Indonesia Emas 2045 (“Golden Indonesia 2045”).

Therefore, Indonesian women need to enhance their capabilities in facing the changes and challenges of the times, to become pillars of the nation, the mothers of the nation and the source of family life.

The vast potential of Indonesian women has prompted the Chamber of Indonesian Entrepreneurs (KEIND) to establish a new organization, “Ladies KEIND”, under the leadership of Hanny Piers as Chairperson. Ladies KEIND aims to empower 1 million appropriate women towards Indonesia Emas 2045, through the Empowering Women program. Ladies KEIND aims to make women empowered, productive and courteous.

According to data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the number of female workers in Indonesia in 2022 reached 52.74 million, which equals 38.98 percent of the total workforce. With a substantial number, women hold a crucial role. If women are empowered, then Indonesia advances.

Ladies KEIND’s orientation and vision-mission event took place at Beranda Kitchen, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on November 4, 2023. “This event marks the launch of Ladies KEIND,” said Hanny. “Creating empowered, productive and courteous women means supporting each other with good business ethics. In the end, we create a more equitable and just world for intelligent, energetic, innovative and virtuous women,” explained Hanny, in a brief interview with the Observer on November 4, 2023.

Ladies KEIND was initiated by women entrepreneurs with different backgrounds. Indah Warsetio served as the host moderator and represented Ladies KEIND, “I am involved in Ladies KEIND because of the significant role of women in this organization. This is in line with my vision and commitment to resilient and empowered women. So, I am working together with Ms. Hanny to focus on empowering women.”

Apart from supporting women entrepreneurs, Ladies KEIND will also build a spirit of championing in all KEIND women cadres to keep progressing and benefiting others. Ladies KEIND invites everyone to balance their important roles in maintaining personal strength and family while continuously enhancing their capabilities to be of benefit to others.

Ladies KEIND aims to become Indonesia’s leading women’s entrepreneurial community, one that works to develop women’s potential, enable women to be more productive, courteous and economically empowered, and focus on business ethics and making positive contributions to society and the environment.
