Jakarta, IO – President Joko Widodo has again reminded TNI and Polri personnel not to engage in practical politics in order to maintain political stability and state security ahead of the 2024 elections, reported Suara, Tuesday (17/1).

Jokowi expected TNI and Polri personnel to focus on identifying potential vulnerabilities in the run-up to the elections. He said he didn’t want to see finger-pointing when bad things happen. He also directed security forces to make necessary preparations.

“As we enter the political year, you really have to have sensitivity and go down to the field frequently so small incidents can be dealt with immediately,” he said.
