Jakarta, IO – This figure was recorded at the Trans Java toll road and from Bandung through the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.

“Of course this is a very large number compared to the normally 53,000 vehicles,” said President Jokowi on Monday (24/4).

Jokowi thus appealed to the public to avoid the peak date by delaying their return trips.  According to him, the delay is intended to prevent the buildup of traffic which is predicted to happen on April 24 and 25.

President Jokowi said this applies to the state civil apparatus (ASN), members of the TNI and Police, and employees of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) or private employees with special arrangement with their workplaces. He also appealed to the public to remain vigilant when returning to their respective destinations.
