Jakarta, IO – Indonesia and Oman continue to strengthen bilateral relations, including in the field of security, particularly counter-terrorism.

Discussions on strengthening cooperation were held at the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) headquarters in Sentul, Bogor, Tuesday (13/2). Both countries will immediately prepare a draft MOU, per bnpt.go.id.

“The strong spirit of cooperation between the two nations, Indonesia and Oman, was implemented through the preparation of a draft Memorandum of Understanding in the field of counterterrorism between the BNPT and the National Counterterrorism Committee (NCTC),” explained BNPT head Mohammed Rycko Amelza Dahniel.

Rycko assessed that this cooperation is an important aspect to ensure the security of the two countries. Moreover, Oman is a country that upholds peace and international order.
