“Vehicles participating must be units from 1999 and below. There is no restriction brand-wise as long as they are classic, vintage vehicles from the 1980s and 1990s. A total of around 300 cars are participating today,” said the coordinator Ivan Karniawan.
Festival Lintas Melawai tries to bring back the area’s heyday of the 1980s around Melawai Raya Steet, Blok M, which at that time was considered hip, a trendy place preferred by the youth to hang out and socialize. (rr)
