Bandung, IO – Ciwidey’s Kawah Putih (White Crater) is a tourist destination in the southern part of Bandung regency. Located in the Ciwidey area, the crater was formed from the massive eruption of Mount Patuha around the 10th or 12th century, according to geologists.
A distinctive characteristic that makes the crater appear white is the limestone mixed with sulfur, while the water is greenish white. In fact, the color looks whiter in the morning, and change to turquoise green in the afternoon. Adding to its allure is the fresh air and silky thin mist.

What also makes it unique is that the surrounding trees have no leaves. To the north of the lake, there are sturdy limestone cliffs which complements its majestic beauty.
