Densus 88 nabs 2 terrorists over alleged involvement in Astana Anyar suicide bombing


Jakarta, IO – Police anti-terror squad Densus 88 arrested two terrorist suspects identified as S and T in Boyolali, Central Java, Tuesday (1/8).

National Police (Polri) spokesman Brig. Gen. Ahmad Ramadhan said they were believed to be involved in preparing the suicide bombing at the Astana Anyar district police station, Bandung, in December 2022 at 8:20am WIB which killed one police officer and injured dozens, per CNNIndonesia, Friday (4/8).

However, Ramadhan did not reveal the relationship between the two suspects with the suicide bomber AM, a former convict who served four years of prison sentence in a terrorism case, as well as their affiliation with the terrorist network.

AM, along with five other accomplices YD, AH, AS, DP and EJD were revealed to be members of terrorist outfit Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD). (un)
