Riau Islands, IO – Troops participating in the 2022 Super Garuda Shield (SGS) joint naval and air force drills debarked in the waters off Riau Islands, Tuesday (2/8).

Personnel from the Indonesian Navy’s Amphibious Reconnaissance Battalion (Taifib), the Indonesian Air Force’s special forces command (Kopasgat) and the US MEU SOC (Marines Expeditionary Unit-Special Operations Capable) carried out the operations from KRI Makassar 590 and USS Greenbay using LCAC-10.
