BNPT vigilant over the killing of Al-Qaeda leader

Jakarta, IO – The National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) has raised its vigilance against terrorist networks in Indonesia after the death of Al-Qaeda leader Ayman Al-Zawahiri by US drone attack in Kabul, Afghanistan.

BNPT chief Boy Rafli Amar admitted detection of potential terrorist attack continues to be carried out to avoid impacts on the community.

“We do not underestimate the development of the event. This is a normal procedure. We will continue to be alert,” said Boy, as reported by CNN Indonesia, Tuesday (2/8).
