Jakarta, IO – Crowd of women holding posters voicing women’s rights to commemorate the International Women’s Day 2024 in M.H. Thamrin street, Jakarta, Friday (8/3). International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
In 2024, the theme is “Inspire Inclusion” which is dedicated to the understanding and appreciation of women’s inclusion. It emphasizes the importance of importance of achieving gender equality and champions the action to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes and create a safe environment for all women around the world.

It is hoped that this can encourage everyone to recognize women’s perspectives and roles in the society, including those from the disadvantaged groups. With the spirit of inclusion, this celebration becomes a platform that strengthens the call for recognition and appreciation for women’s rights and contributions in civic life.
