Jakarta, IO – Judge Sri Wahyuni Batubara in a verdict hearing at the South Jakarta District Court on Monday (10/4) sentenced AG (15) to 3.5 years in prison after being found guilty of being an accomplice in the premeditated assault of D (17), reported Detik, Monday (10/4).
The judge also decided that AG would serve a term at the juvenile correctional facility (LPKA). In her legal consideration, Sri explained that the aggravating circumstance being the victim is still being hospitalized with severe brain damage.
Meanwhile, the mitigating circumstances are that AG is still 15 years old and is expected to be able to reform herself, regret her actions, and has parents who suffer from stroke and stage-four lung cancer.
MDS (20), AG’s boyfriend violently assaulted D after she told him that she was “forced to have sex” by D in mid-January 2023. However, according to the judge, AG’s testimony was “false.”
