Prosecutors demand 12 years for son of tax official implicated in violent assault

Jakarta, IO – The prosecutors at the South Jakarta District Court assessed that Mario Dandy Satriyo was legally and convincingly proven to have committed violent assault against David Ozora, per CNNIndonesia, Tuesday (15/8).

He was charged with violations of Article 355(1) in conjunction with Article 55(1) with subsidiary Article 353(2) in conjunction with Article 55(1) of the Penal Code or Article 76C in conjunction with Article 80(2) of the Child Protection Law.

Dandy was proven to have committed serious premeditated violent assault together with his friend Shane Lukas and the former’s girlfriend AG, 15.

Meanwhile, Shane Lukas was charged with Article 355(1) in conjunction with Article 55(1.1) of the Penal Code with subsidiary Article 76C in conjunction with Article 80(2) of Law 35/2014 on amendments to Law 23/2002 on Child Protection.

Previously, David’s father Jonathan Latumahina filed a request for restitution or compensation through the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) to the tune of Rp52.3 billion. However, according to LPSK the figure should be Rp120.3 billion.

However, Mario’s father former tax official Rafael Alun Trisambodo refused to pay and take responsibility for his son’s transgression under the pretext that his family has been facing financial difficulty after he was named a suspect in money laundering and gratification by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
