Borobudur general manager Jamaludin Mawardi said the temple is designated as a state vital object so the security must be bolstered.
“I think this simulation is very necessary considering that recently Bandung has been hit by a suicide bomber,” he said.

He said Borobudur Temple management will work with all stakeholders to secure the prime tourist destination in the run-up to Christmas and New Year holidays where it will be packed with visitors.
