Jakarta, IO – West Jakarta Police spokesperson Commissioner Taufik said the bodies of four members of the same family found in a house in Citra I Extension housing complex, Kalideres, West Jakarta have desiccated.

“The bodies are just bones and skin; they have been desiccated,” he told Detik on Friday (11/11).

The four bodies consisted of father, mother, son, and uncle. However, the police have yet to reveal their identities. “We are still doing forensic work as the bodies have become unrecognizable,” he explained.

He said the discovery began with information from residents who were bothered by the unpleasant odour emanating from inside the house. Officers had to force open the door because it was locked.

“The four victims were found on Thursday (10/11) at 20.00 WIB, starting from information from residents, when they came to the scene, the house was locked. So the house was opened, the gate was dismantled and when the main door was opened, four bodies were found inside,” explained Taufik.
