KNPB members who murdered Papuan female activist arrested

Jakarta, IO – The escape of three members of the West Papua National Committee (KNPB), identified as PM, AW and RK, who murdered Papuan female activist Michelle Kurisi Ndoga, were finally arrested by the police. Police said the victim died after she was bludgeoned using blunt object and stabbed.

Head of the Cartenz Peace Task Force Chief Commissioner of Police Faizal Ramadhani, said the culprits were arrested by authorities in three different locations, namely Jayawijaya, Tolikara and Jayapura Regencies.

PM was arrested in Jayawijaya Regency on Thursday (5/10). AW was nabbed in Jayapura and RK in Tolikara Regency both on Friday (6/10). According to Faizal, AW was the main culprit, per Detikcom.

Faizal did not specify the roles of the other two perpetrators. However, he said that they aided and abetted the crime by helped AW restrained the victim and procured and drove the getaway car. He revealed that the post-mortem results revealed that the victim had stab wound and blunt trauma. (rr)
