Kemenparekraf to prepare attractive tour packages to welcome U-17 World Cup


Jakarta, IO – The Tourism and Creative Economy minister Sandiaga Uno will offer tour packages for foreign tourists to welcome the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Indonesia.

This was conveyed by Sandi after a meeting with President Joko Widodo and a number of other ministers at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (13/7).

Additionally, Sandi said he also received directive to hold a creative economy exhibition to liven up the event.

“This will be part of the promotional offers for spectators and participants of the FIFA World Cup U-17,” said Sandi, per Liputan6, Friday (14/7).

Sandi assessed that the arrivals of U17 players will also opened up tourism opportunities because they will bring along their families.

Furthermore, Sandi hopes that the benefits of international sporting events can also be felt by the Indonesian people as it will create job opportunities for the communities. (at)
