Jakarta, IO – Special Staff of the Finance Ministry, Yustinus Prastowo, emphasized that there was no politicization in the detention of Anies-Muhaimin campaign spokesperson Indra Charismiadji on Wednesday (27/12).

He said the arrest was entirely within the authority of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. Indra is alleged to be involved in tax evasion, per Katadata, Fri (29/12).

“This is purely a tax crime case that occurred in 2019 and has been processed since August 2021, long before the presidential race and is not politically motivated,” said Prastowo.

However, this summons were never heeded until Indra was named a suspect. “The Taxation Directorate General is always committed to carrying out supervision and law enforcement that is objective, fair and accountable,” he stressed.
