Jakarta, IO – PT Jakarta Infrastruktur Propertindo (JIP), a subsidiary of Jakpro engaged in information and communication technology (ICT), together with Telco, intends to reinforce DKI Jakarta’s telecommunication (telco) networks by utilizing the land owned by the DKI government to transform Jakarta into an advanced and smart city, linked by an advanced networks.

Telco networks play a vital role in facilitating business and vital communication. Telco providers are in great demand to equally distribute optimal network coverage and capacity to meet the needs of increasing population density; hence, constructing telco towers or Micro Cell Poles (MCP) is inevitable.
JIP is committed to removing aerial wires from Jakarta by providing 115 kilometers of SJUT (Integrated Utility Network Facility) for South and East Jakarta. “We believe that the SJUT is one of the priority agendas that we must follow up on immediately,” stated Araf Anbiya, President Director of JIP, at a media forum conducted on Monday, August 28, 2023, at the Talaga Sampireun Restaurant in Menteng, Central Jakarta.

JIP has included 67 percent of operators in JIP’s utility network facility, while the first phase of construction—the 25-kilometer SJUT in the South Jakarta area—has been completed. The first phase of SJUT is distributed along 10 roads: Mampang, Captain Tendean, Wolter Monginsidi, Senopati, Suryo, Cikajang, Gunawarman, Pattimura, Trunojoyo and Hasanuddin arteries.
“Together with DKI Highways Service, we simultaneously progress with construction of Phase II, while pursuing SJUT occupancy for all related utility network operators to bundle all disorganized aerial cables into the SJUT system,” said Araf.

In partnership with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, JIP collaborates with the Jakarta Asset Management Center (JAMC) and BPAD to utilize the DKI Jakarta Government land to erect telco towers (MCP), Fiber To The X (FTTX), Integrated Utility Network Facilities, and Digital Signage (digital advertising) throughout the DKI Jakarta area.

“As a city with limited land, the use of government assets (its lands) must be carefully and optimally planned for the future development of Jakarta. We must make a breakthrough by optimizing land usage within the DKI provincial government,” said Aji Rizqi Yodhana, General Manager, Corporate Secretary and JIP Legal.

One of JIP’s business pillars is the provision of telco infrastructure, particularly tower construction on DKI Jakarta Provincial Government land. JIP has collaborated with all Indonesian operators in providing telco facilities, such as in-building coverage, microcell poles, and macrocell pole BTS.

Aji confirmed that land optimization for the integrated network facility will provide access to communication for the community and support company business, which will eventually contribute to regional income, as government assets have been positively utilized.

JIP has successfully implemented fiber internet network to home (FTTH) for residents in numerous DKI Jakarta Provincial Government apartments. JIP offers both commercial FTTH services (JAKI Net) and CSR (Jakwifi), a free internet service launched in 2020 by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to serve the public and community communications sectors.

By building the SJUT, JIP aims to expand digital infrastructure and transform Jakarta into a smart metropolitan area, one harmonious and in accord with urban spatial planning, sustainability and aesthetics. (des)
