Jakarta, IO – More than 5,000 police personnel will be deployed to secure the public rallies which will take place simultaneously on Saturday (10/2) in two locations, Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) by contender No 1 Anies-Muhaimin and Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) by contender No 2 Prabowo-Gibran.
“The number of security personnel at JIS is 2,356 people while at GBK 2,755,” said Jakarta Police spokesperson Ade Ary, per CNN Indonesia, Fri (9/2).
The personnel consist of officers from Jakarta Metro Police, precinct police departments of North, Central, West, South and East Jakarta, as well as soldiers from Jakarta Military Command (Kodam Jaya), public order police (Satpol PP), and the city’s fire, transportation and health departments.

To ensure the smooth running of the major events, police will divert traffic in a number of streets and intersections. (un)
