Irish singer Sinead O’Connor dies aged 56

Jakarta, IO – Legendary singer from Ireland, Sinead O’Connor, has passed away. She died at the age of 56.

The sad news was delivered directly by the O’Connor family, per CNNIndonesia, Thursday (27/7).

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinead,” the O’Connor family said in a statement.

“Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”

Up to this point, the cause of her death is not yet known. However, recently she converted to Islam and has been known to be struggling with his mental health.

Sinead O’Connor was famous in the 1990s. She started her career with her debut album The Lion and the Cobra. Her popularity soared when she released her second solo album I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got.

The album’s success was also inseparable from the song ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ which was composed by the late Prince.
