Jakarta, IO – Indonesian sport climbing athlete Rahmad Adi Mulyono succeeded in emerging as champion in the men’s speed event at the 2023 IFSC Asian Qualifier Championship at Lot 11 Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday (12/11).

Rahmad beat another Indonesian athlete, Kiromal Katibin, in the final round with a time of 5.35 seconds. With this victory, Rahmad is entitled to a ticket to compete in the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics.

Meanwhile, in the women’s category, three Indonesian athletes also managed to reach the final round. However, none of them were able to top the competition. Rajiah Sallsabillah only managed to take the third spot.

Rajiah himself managed to become third after beating her compatriot Nurul Iqomah. They met in the match for third place, after losing to Chinese and Korean athletes. In the final round of the women’s category, Chinese athlete Deng Lijuan managed to emerge as champion and was entitled to a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
