Jakarta, IO – Known as HexaHeroes, the six talented athletes from Indonesia – Centa Nasri, Shara Virrisya, Talita Setyadi, Florence Bun, Fenny Octavia, and Yona Pohan – have captured the attention of many with their dedication and resilience in the OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) sport. The Spartan Race, one of the branches of OCR which became an official sport in the 2019 Sea Games, categorizes its events into Beast (21 km with 30 obstacles), Super (10 km with 25 obstacles), and Sprint (5 km with 20 obstacles). Together, these three categories are known as the Trifecta. Furthermore, OCR will be contested in the 2028 Olympic Games.
HexaHeroes’ achievements in the Spartan Race have taken many by surprise. In May 2023, at the Spartan Miri, Florence Bun secured first place and Talita Setyadi clinched the second position for the Super category. Their successes and bond have crowned HexaHeroes as the Spartan Malaysia Brand Ambassador for Indonesia.
Next, HexaHeroes showcased their prowess at the Trifecta Weekend Spartan in Pattaya. Florence Bun achieved second place in the Beast category for the age group 30-34, Fenny Octavia stood third in the Beast category for the age group 40-44, and Talita Setyadi won third place for the Super category for the age group 30-34.
Regarding their participation in the Trifecta Weekend Spartan Race, Florence Bun, the leader of HexaHeroes, said, “We are eagerly preparing for the Spartan Race, especially the Trifecta Weekend in Kuala Lumpur and Sparta. Intensive trail runs and training classes at various gyms have prepared us to face all challenges and inspire many by bringing the best achievements for Indonesia,” Florence said when media crew met with her during the Road to Spartan Race Press Conference, held at Beau Bakery, Cikajang, South Jakarta, on Tuesday, 24 October 2023.
