Jakarta, IO – Vice presidential candidates Muhaimin Iskandar, Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Mahfud MD pitched their vision during a debate at the Jakarta Convention Center, Friday (22/12).
The debate focuses on people’s economy, digital economy, investment, taxes, trade, state budget and regional budget management, infrastructure and urban development. These themes serve as the basis of questions asked by 11 selected panelists from academics and experts in various fields.
The debate features the vision and mission and work programs proposed by each candidate. According to the debate format established by the General Elections Commission (KPU), the vision and mission presentation session took place in the first segment, followed by a deepening of the vision and mission and work program in the second and third segments. During the in-depth process, the three vice presidential candidates were asked random questions from the panelists.

In segment 4 and 5, there was a question-and-answer session between where the candidates can ask each other. These two sessions were the most interesting as they saw the three candidates criticized each other’s vision and mission they promoted and the work programs they implemented during their term of office. The debate closed in segment 6 with closing statements and conclusions.
