Jakarta, IO – TNI Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Bambang Ismawan pinned ribbons to member representatives accompanied by Deputy Chief of Police Comm. Gen. Agus Andrianto during the launch of Operation Candle in the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta, Thursday (21/12).

A total of 129,923 joint personnel from the military and police, transportation ministry and related agencies are mobilized to provide sense of security during the Christmas and New Year festive celebrations which will be held from December 22 to January 2, 2024. The joint forces will be deployed to more than 2,000 locations. The Transportation Ministry predicts that as many as 107.63 people will make a trip during the festive season. The increase in public mobility occurred because many people are going on holiday or visiting their relatives.
