Jakarta, IO – President Joko Widodo inaugurated two ministers to the Onward Indonesia Cabinet who will serve for the remainder of the 2019-24 term at the State Palace, Jakarta (21/2).
The two ministers are Hadi Tjahjanto as the coordinating political, legal and security affairs minister (replacing Mahfud MD who resigned during the presidential election campaign period) and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) as the agrarian and spatial planning (ATR) minister/head of the National Land Agency (BPN). This inauguration was carried out based on Presidential Decree 34/P/2024 issued on February 20.

After being inaugurated, the two ministers conducted handover ceremony at the ATR Ministry office in Jakarta. In his statement, AHY emphasized that he would continue the program that Hadi had done so far. He will also step up efforts to eradicate ‘land mafia’ (organized crime syndicates that use various illegal means, including document falsification, intimidation and bribery, to take ownership of a property from someone) and accelerate land redistribution.
