Jakarta, IO – Catholics reenact the crucifixion of Jesus in the Stations to celebrate the Good Friday at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Cilandak, South Jakarta (29/3).
There are 14 stopping points in this annual parade. It aims to invite Catholic devotees to remember the death of Jesus Christ by offering prayer and showing devotion to God.
The parade started with the scene when Jesus was sentenced to death until he was taken down from the cross and buried. In between these events, the Catholic devotees prayed and sang songs to accompany Jesus’ journey to the cross.

The Way of the Cross is shown through a number of theatrical scenes performed by teenage devotees aged between 12 to 18 who are members of the St. Stephen’s Catholic Youth Ministry.
