“The South Korean military fired dozens of shells from multiple rocket launchers toward the border area on October 19 from 09:55-5:22 pm,” a spokesperson for the General Staff of the Korean People’s Army (KPA) said in a statement broadcast by the official KCNA news agency.
“KPA units on the eastern and western fronts fired warning shots towards the east and west seas on the night of October 18, as a strong military countermeasure,” the statement read. (rr)
