He went on to remind everyone that TBC is curable if one takes the medication consistently. “In child sufferers, parents need to discipline them consistently, as successful training depends on consistent ingestion of the medicine every day for six consecutive months. You must make sure that you take your medication according to the doctor’s orders, in order to prevent TBC resistance to the medication growing. If that happens, medication duration may extend to as long as 18 months. TBC medication is free; you can get it from local health clinics. The Government has supplied an integrated regime of three types of medication for children. They are soluble in water and sweet, so children should have no problem taking them,” he said.
Finally, he emphasizes the importance of wearing filter masks to help prevent TBC infection, as well as the importance of improving immunity by consuming nutritious food, performing routine physical exercise for at least 150 minutes a week, and avoiding exposure to cigarette smoke. (est)
