Jakarta, IO – Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) plans to open a new route from Kalideres to Soekarno Hatta International Airport (SHIA) in July.
Dishub head Syafrin Liputo said the new route will serve different passenger segment, namely the airport workers, so it would not compete with other airport transportation modes such as Damri buses and Airport Rail Link.
“There is a service gap at SHIA that cater to airport workers. This should be filled,” said Syafrin, per Katadata, Wednesday (14/6).
Syafrin said the agency has calculated the travel time, namely maximum of 90 minutes based on the current traffic density.
“This travel time will be reviewed during the trial period, because Transjakarta has to be able to meet the existing minimum service standards,” explained Syafrin.

Jakarta interim governor Heru Budi Hartono fully supported the policy to integrate different modes of transportation such as trains, Damri buses and Transjakarta.
“Hopefully it can provide convenience for the residents of Jakarta and its surrounding cities,” said Heru. (un)
