Jakarta, IO – The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) has frozen the account belonging to Panji Gumilang, the chairman of Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School. PPATK director Ivan Yustiavandana said the blocking of the 256 accounts was done as part of the financial analysis process, per CNNIndonesia, Friday (7/7).
He said the value of transactions is quite large. However, he did not provide further details regarding the nominal amount. Ivan revealed that his agency is investigating hundreds of accounts allegedly linked to Gumilang with indications of suspicious transactions.

Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Affairs Minister Mahfud MD previously revealed Panji Gumilang owned 256 bank accounts under six different names including Abu Toto Panji Gumilang and Abdus Salam Panji Gumilang. He said there were also 33 accounts under the Al-Zaytun institution. (un)
