Jakarta, IO – Muhammad Fajri, 26, who weighed 300 kilograms died at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM), Thursday (22/6). This was confirmed by RSCM president director Lies Dina Liastuti. Fajri breathed his last at 1:25am WIB after undergoing treatment for several days, per Detik, Thursday (22/6).

RSCM explained that Fajri had experienced septic shock, an infection that causes blood pressure and organ failure.

Fajri’s condition went viral after he was shown being transported to the hospital using a forklift. He had many wounds all over his body due to living in cramped space for extended period of time in sedentary state.

Fajri’s right leg was also swollen, suspected to be due to vein blockage as a result of an accident he suffered.

“He suffered from comorbidity, with a history of accidents that rendered him difficult to move and become bed-ridden.”

He also suffered from hormonal disturbances so that his body weight continued to increase from initially 150kg.

According to internist Dicky Levenus Tahapary who treated Fajri, there are other aspects or possible factors that prevent his metabolism from functioning normally. This is associated with unbalanced food intake. (un)
