The ninth goal is to build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation.

The tenth goal reduces disparities within and between countries.

The eleventh goal is to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

The twelfth goal guarantees sustainable patterns of production and consumption.

The thirteenth goal takes urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

The fourteenth goal is to conserve and use oceans, seas and marine resources in a sustainable manner for sustainable development.

The fifteenth goal protects, renews and promotes the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, manages forests sustainably, combats desertification, halts and reverses soil degradation and halts loss of biodiversity.

The sixteenth goal promotes peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provides access to justice for all, and builds effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels, and

The seventeenth goal strengthens means of implementation and revitalizes the global partnership for sustainable development.

In this context, since the 17 goals/goals of the SDGs were initiated, it seems that the community and world leaders need to reflect again on how far their respective national commitments have been carried out and developed in order to help create a balance in nature. This national commitment is ammunition as well as strengthening Indonesia’s capacity in carrying out foreign policy at the international fora (bilateral, regional and multilateral).

To help realize these goals, the active participation of all elements of the Indonesian nation in accordance with their respective fields is urgently needed to strengthen the commitment to implementing each international agreement through an integrated pattern of anticipation and management of disasters which includes aspects of political, economic, educational policies, culture and population as well as the practice of religious norms.

This integration will show the synergy between government and community leadership attitudes that are pro-environmental and ready to contribute to being able to take precautions against efforts to prevent disasters at all levels and regions.

Thus, the disaster events that have occurred in this part of the world, whether caused by nature or human negligence/selfishness, can be a positive lesson that is expected to always be an adhesive factor and strengthen cooperation and strengthen earth protecting diplomacy with various parties in an effort to realize a safer and more prosperous world that always respects and preserves the surrounding environment.

Wallahu’alam bi showab.
