Jakarta, IO – Inspiring news came from the Indonesian sports scene. Jeka Saragih, a mixed martial art (MMA) fighter, became the first Indonesian to sign a contract with the Las Vegas-based Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), reported Detik, Thursday (9/2).

The news was conveyed by Mola, UFC’s Indonesian broadcaster. “Jeka Saragih and manager Graham Boylan signed a contract with UFC for five matches,” it announced.

Jeka Saragih still received the offer even though he was beaten by Anshul Jubli by TKO in the second round in the “Road To UFC” lightweight final last weekend.

“Despite losing in #roadtoufc final, UFC still offered him a contract based on his performances in the previous matches. He will now stay and train in the US to prepare for his debut,” Mola added.
