Jakarta firefighters bring pride to the nation by winning a competition in Singapore

Jakarta, IO – Firefighters from the Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service won the 2023 Singapore-Global Firefighters and Paramedics Challenge (SGFPC).

Head of the fire department Satriadi Gunawan appreciated those who competed and succeeded in bringing fame for Jakarta and Indonesia, per Antaranews, Tue (28/11).

“Hopefully this achievement will be a trigger the improvement of the performance of the Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service,” said Satrio.

Fadila Bunyamin, the city’s representative in this event, won first place in the Breaveheart Team Challenge category. In the same category, Budi Paryono and Andi Putra Erlambang also won the fourth place.

In the team category, the service also bagged the Best Resource Application and Best Safety Application award through Budi Paryono and Andi Putra Erlambang. Additionally, the Best Planning Team award medal was won by Fadila Bunyamin.

SGFPC 2023 is a competition initiated by the Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) to appreciate the role of firefighters, rescuers and paramedics from all over the world.

SGFPC 2023 was held on November 24-25 at Singapore Expo Hall 3 and participated in by 14 countries — Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia Vietnam, Thailand, Brunei Darussalam, Macau, India, Australia, Myanmar, England, Hong Kong and Luxembourg. (un)
