Jakarta, IO – He was sentenced in connection with the murder of Police Brigadier N Yosua Hutabarat (Brig J) by the South Jakarta District Court, Monday (13/2). According to chief judge Wahyu Iman Santoso, Ferdy Sambo was proven guilty of premeditated murder of his aide, reported Detik, Monday (13/2).
Sambo was also found guilty of tampering with the CCTV in a bid to destroy evidence and cover up his crime.
Sambo was found guilty of violating Penal Code Article 340 in conjunction with Article 55.1.1 as well as Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 of Law 19/2016 on Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE).
In his decision, the judge stated that the sexual assault accusation, committed by Yosuo against Sambo’s wife Putri Candrawathi, was not proven. The judge also stated that it was very unlikely that Yosua would dare to sexually harass Putri, the wife of his superior.
