Jakarta, IO – Construction of the Jakarta’s Light Rail Transit (LRT) Phase 1B Velodrome-Manggarai Route is underway on Pemuda Street, Rawamangun (18/12). This project involves the construction of five stations, namely Pemuda Rawamangun, Pramuka BPKP, Pasar Pramuka, Matraman and Manggarai.
According to the Transportation Ministry, with this additional route, the total length of LRT track will reach 12.2 kilometers, passing through 11 stations, and continuing the previous project connecting Kelapa Gading Station with the Velodrome for 5.8 kilometers. The government also hopes that expanding the route to Manggarai Station will improve the integration of mass transportation modes in Jakarta, including access to KRL, airport trains, Transjakarta BRT and MRT.

This project is scheduled to be completed in 2026. With a total length of 12.2 kilometers for LRT Phases I and II, it is hoped that the journey can be completed in 26 minutes.
