Jakarta, IO – President Joko Widodo cautioned that the current global economic situation is facing major headwinds. He reminded that based on projections by the United Nations (UN), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the World Bank, 60 countries are facing economic collapse and 320 million people at risk of acute hunger.
“I convey this because many countries are seeing their economic growth not just sliding, but plunging,” Jokowi said on Friday (5/8).
He also described countries such as Singapore, the EU, Australia, the US that experienced sharp slowdown in growth due to soaring inflation and prices hike.
