Jakarta, IO – President Joko Widodo has officially banned cooking oil export starting Thursday, April 28.
“Today I have chaired a meeting to address the basic needs of the people, especially those related to the availability of cooking oil in the country. I have decided that the government will ban the export of cooking oil and raw materials for cooking oil starting from Thursday, April 28, 2022 until determined otherwise,” Jokowi said in a press statement, Friday (22/4).

Based on official statement from the Cabinet Secretariat, Wednesday (27/4), Coordinating Economic Minister Airlangga Hartarto ensured that companies can still buy fresh fruit bunch (TBS) from oil palm farmers.
