Ambon, IO – Stretching 1,149 meters long, the Merah Putih (Red and White) Bridge in Ambon City looked stunning when the editorial team of Obseverid.com visited that morning.
From the bridge which was inaugurated in 2016, we can see the panoramic grandeur of the city and ships docking at the harbor and also the two areas it connects, namely North and South Ambon.
According to the driver who took us there, the bridge has shortened the time it takes to the Pattimura Airport. “Before this bridge was built, we had to travel 35 kilometers or around 60 minutes to get to the airport. But now it only takes about 30 minutes,” said the driver.

The construction of the bridge looks solid with two large concrete supports in the middle, suspended by cables painted in red and white. So, if you are visiting Ambon, don’t forget to stop by this bridge. You definitely won’t be disappointed by the majestic vista. (rr)
