The second worst airline is Wings Air, which is also part of the Lion Air Group. It fared not much better with 49.78 percent timely arrival and 20.63 percent cancellation rate. It got 1 out of 5 for food and entertainment and 2 out of 5 for comfort and services.
In response, the Transportation Ministry (Kemenhub) asked Lion Air Group to provide an explanation. The ministry’s spokesperson Adita Irawati said she has asked all airlines to provide quality services to passengers. If a violation is found, the ministry will impose sanctions according to the severity of the violation.

“With the unfavorable assessment of the two airlines, of course we will ask for an explanation and their commitment to improve going forward,” she said. (rr)
