Jakarta, IO – South Korea’s Air Busan and Jin Air will have direct flights from Busan to Jakarta (seven times a week) and Bali (four times a week), per Kompas, Wed (5/6).
Additionally, T’Way Air will fly from Cheongju to Bali three times a week. The plan to provide direct flight routes between connecting the two countries follows the summit agreement between Korea and Indonesia.
Previously, international flights from Korea were limited to 23 times a week. South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is expected to grant route licenses to 30 routes to 11 domestic airlines.
This also aims to overcome the limited accessibility and high air ticket rates faced by South Korean citizens. Flights to Bali from South Korea are currently only available from Incheon Airport. (un)
