Louis Vuitton Releases Book on Tourism in Indonesia

Jakarta, IO – Louis Vuitton, the world’s popular fashion house, has released the 29th edition of the special Indonesian tourism book series was created with an illustrator from Germany, George Barber.

The artist popularly known as Atak got inspiration from Indonesian culture and nature during his visit to the country, then compiled them into a work that can be enjoyed in three languages, namely Indonesian, English and French.

The book was positively received by Tourism and Creative Economy Minister  (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno who said this could be an effective means of promotion.

“The tourism book will be an effective means of promotion to introduce Wonderful Indonesia to the world, utilizing the global influence of the Louis Vuitton brand,” said Sandiaga, per Kompas, Fri (28/6).

The recognition of the beauty of Indonesia’s nature was also given by the British survey analysis website, Money.co.uk that places Indonesia as the country with the best natural panorama in the world, beating 49 other countries, including Japan, France, and New Zealand.

Indonesia is also ranked 22nd in the Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI) for the improvement of its tourism performance index, which reflects the country increased attractiveness in the global tourism scene.

Previously, Louis Vuitton has also created a series of tourism books for several world destinations, including Barcelona, ​​Paris, Seoul, Rome, and Tokyo. (un)
