Jakarta, IO – On Tuesday (24/10), President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo floated the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle taking place this week, reported Detikcom. Jokowi did not provide detailed information regarding the reshuffle. He only said a new reshuffle plan was being prepared.
When asked what ministerial posts will be affected, he only said: “Agriculture minister.” Rumor swirled that one of those who will be replaced included the head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Police General (Ret.) Budi Gunawan. His position is said to be replaced by Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) Gen. Dudung Abdurachman who is expected to retire in November. Meanwhile, his position will be filled by his deputy Lt. Gen. Agus Subiyanto, per Okezone.
For the post of agriculture minister, CNN Indonesia reported that Jokowi is going to pick Democratic Party chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).

On Tuesday morning, Jokowi told journalists that there would be a cabinet reshuffle soon. When asked whether Democratic Party will join the cabinet, he only responded with a nod.
Jokowi also talked about the meeting with AHY at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Monday (23/10) but he said there was nothing special about it. He only revealed that they discussed a number of things without elaborating further. (rr)
